Conduct Risk. How clear we are about what it is? Are we able to link it into leadership and culture? Do we in fact understand leadership and culture? These are the kinds of questions that often go unanswered. Which means discussion about them can be ... well, you know ... variable.
It's not as if conduct risk isn't important. The major fines in financial services are now conduct related. On the face of it Toronto Dominion's £3bn fine was for AML. In reality the root cause was conduct failure. Poor leadership and poor behaviour.
In this first session I set out my thinking on what conduct risk is. From which we can then kick around how to influence this for the better.
